Drone filming in Turin and Piedmont
Breathtaking perspectives with certified drones, to show events, places and production processes from above. Aerial footage goes into your videos, commercials and social media content, with the same cinematic look as the rest of the project.
The point of view that changes the story
From above you understand proportions, paths, context. An aerial shot opens a video, shows the scale of a space, explains a production process in a single movement.
Reelab Studio is a communication and marketing agency, video production company and web development studio based in Grugliasco, just outside Turin, Italy. For us the drone is a storytelling tool, not a special effect: we use it when it serves the story.

How we work
Goal and shots
We start from what the drone needs to show and where the video will be used.
Site visit and area check
We assess the location, obstacles, people on site and the rules of the flight zone.
Flight plan
We define routes, timing and light. Weather is part of the plan too: wind and rain can move the date.
Filming
Focused flights with the shots already decided, together with the ground footage.
Post-production
Editing, colour and integration with the rest of the video.
Delivery
Files ready for your website, social media, commercials and presentations.
Rules, permits and safety
In Italy, drone flights follow European rules and those of ENAC, the Italian civil aviation authority. Some areas have specific limits or require permits: zones near airports, city centres, places with lots of people. That's why every aerial shoot starts with an area check and a flight plan. If a location doesn't allow flying, we tell you in advance and look for an alternative together.

Frequently asked questions
Do you need permits for drone filming?
It depends on where and how you fly. In Italy, European rules and ENAC rules apply: in some zones, for example near airports or in city centres, there are limits or you need authorisation. That's why, before confirming the shoot, we check the area with you and plan the flight.
Can you fly a drone in Turin?
In some areas yes, in others there are specific limits: the Turin area includes dense urban zones and controlled airspace. Every location has to be checked beforehand, address by address. Tell us where you'd like to film: we'll check the zone and tell you which aerial shots are possible, and on what conditions.
What happens if it rains or it's windy on the day of the shoot?
The drone only flies in suitable conditions: strong wind, rain or poor visibility don't allow safe shots, or good-looking ones. That's why the weather is part of the flight plan. If conditions don't allow it, we look together at another date or a backup plan with ground footage only.
Can drone footage be combined with a corporate video or a commercial?
Yes, and it's often the best way to use it. Aerial shots open the story, give scale to spaces and work as transitions between the scenes filmed on the ground. We plan them together with the rest of the shoot, so the drone serves the story instead of being an effect on its own.
How much does drone filming cost?
It depends on the location, the checks and permits needed, the length of the shoot and how much editing is required. It also changes depending on whether the drone is part of a bigger production or you only need aerial footage. Tell us about your project: we'll reply with a tailored proposal.
Can you film an event with lots of people from above?
It can be done, but with precise rules: the drone can't fly freely over a crowd. That's why positions, routes and shots are chosen carefully, often from the edges of the area or before the audience arrives. We discuss it together during the site visit, event by event.
